Military history authors, poets, and artists\u2019 skills are varied. Some are world-class writers, with many successful books. Others write only for the eyes of their friends and families. But each of us has a tale to tell. Each of us is a part of the fabric of Freedom.<\/p>

We are a member of and support the Military Writers Society of America where most of our members are active duty military, retirees, or military veterans. A few are lifelong civilians who have chosen to honor our military through their writings or their art. Sharp Pens Sharpen Swords Most modern writers prefer word processors to pens, 21stcentury swords are mainly ceremonial, and Edison\u2019s incandescent bulbs long ago replaced candles, but the title of this article and the foregoing quotation remain figuratively correct, because intellectual pathfinders who shed light on politico-military problems then suggest solutions perform invaluable services.
